The Revised Fire Code of the Philippines (R.A. No. 9514) was signed into law by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (PGMA) on 19 December 2008, thereby repealing P.D. 1185 (The Fire Code of the Phils. signed by Pres. FE Marcos in 1977).
With this new Fire Code and its awaited implementing rules and regulations (IRRs), all Philippine registered and licensed architects (RLAs) are again enjoined to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the documents to aid them in their practice.
A copy of R.A. No. 9514 is now posted at the Latest Publications section of the PRCBOA website.
