  5. question 22

A climatic factor that is considered in the structural and architectural design of tall buildings
    A. thunderstorm
    B. gusts (your answer)
    C. lightning (correct answer)
    D. humidity

    - isnt "gusts" a more appropriate answer because in structural design, there is an allocated factor specifically for wind loads?

  8. PARANG WALA SA CHOICES YUNG SAGOT...

Q.4) What is the height of a curtain wall for a downfeed water tank at the deck roof with 60,000 gallons capacity and diameter of 3 meters, freeboard of 0.30 meters, shall be as high as the water tank
    A. 3.513 meters
    B. 3.550 meters
    C. 3.625 meters
    D. 3.573 meters

Kasi ang isang standad swimming pool only has 15,000 gallons.

    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  11. solution for Q.4

    Volume V = 6000 gallons * 0.003785m3 / gal = 22.71m3

    Area of circular tank (A) = pi×(ID)² / 4 = 3.1416 * (3.0)² / 4 = 7.0686m²

    Height = V / A = 22.71 / 7.0686 = 3.21m

    Total Height = Height +0.3m freeboard = 3.21 + 0.3m = 3.51m

    Tama ba?

    ReplyDelete
  12. given volume was 60,000. you only computed 6,000, that would give us a final answer of 32.128m height (excluding the freeboard ht.)..

would it mean you had a typo error on the value of the gallons?that would be too heavy..

    just wondering..
    thanks..

    God bless.
