  1. To whom it may concern:

I am suggesting to the Architecture Board that an Oral Examination be given to the ALE examinees who passed the written one. This will determine their ability to communicate, express, expound, inform and educate their prospective client, peers and subordinates in the nature of their day to day practice.

This will further enhance their chance of landing in a better job or success in their practice. Reading comprehension is one thing, comprehensively speaking your thoughts is another. The Board will determine the Candidates' knowledge on their chosen science firsthand.

I believe that the Board is mandated to raise the bar.

  2. i dont think its the board's duty to develop one's communication skill. it is self evident that every professional needs those skills, not just architects. but architecture is not about the spoken words, its about putting things together.. its about getting things build!
